East of Dohney is a theater and film production company in Los Angeles, CA. They also produce a children's theater workshop called the Pickering Street Players. As an entertainment company, their number one goal with their website was to project their original image while communicating their productions and programs. They knew they wanted a Flash website utilizing animation and sound. They also wanted the site to be easy to update. We chose to integrate a content management system with the animation, creating a dynamic and engaging website.
Although the website looks very slick, with its movement, music and sound effects, most of the content can be easily updated through a content management system. This means that the company can change the contents of their animated website with a few clicks through an intuitive interface.
The Flash site itself was created in such a way that it will fit to any screen size, while being clear and easy to navigate. Furthermore, extra time was taken to ensure that every aspect of the site - from the welcome animation to the content scroll bars - reflects the character and image of East of Dohney.
